No training day, no manual, nobody has to sit next to new staff: Mendura ships with its own trainer. Schraubi, the gear mascot, guides every person through the app step by step, on real workflows instead of slides.

Why Mendura

Born on the shop floor, not on a drawing board

I am a certified industrial foreman (Industriemeister Metall) and work as a full-time trainer: I teach skilled workers pneumatics, PLC technology, manual and machine processing of metals, and plastics technology. Alongside that I handle a lot of organisational work, create technical drawings in CAD and serve as an IHK examiner, among others for future industrial foremen.

Our facility ran the way many workshops still do: breakdown maintenance. A machine got attention only once it had actually failed. And of course it failed at the worst possible moment, right before examination days when every machine is needed. Then it was repairing under stress and frantically ordering spare parts.

The solution has been known for decades: preventive maintenance with a proper plan. It extends machine life and avoids exactly those firefighting missions. What was missing was a tool for it that does not require a corporate IT project.

Mendura started small: as a 3D-printing hobbyist I first just wanted a maintenance app for my own printer. That grew into the realisation that exactly this kind of tool helps businesses that still run on paper or Excel.

So Mendura is built the way I would use it myself: fully offline, data stays on site, no account, no cloud. And simple enough that everyone on the team can work with it without a training day. Schraubi handles the onboarding, right inside the app.
